31 days: a give-away!

Day 26: giving thanks give-away

Remember this goodie I pinned?

Well, here it is in all it’s finished glory:

And it could be hanging in your house! In honor of my husband’s birthday (and the fact that I’ve got nothing other than an insane chocolate cake I’ve been making all day) I’m gifting one of my lucky readers with this hand embroidered goodness. It is stitched onto 100% cotton muslin with a ribbon tie hanger. I am trying my hand at different ways of finishing it and tried out painting the hoop this time around. The hoop is a lovely chocolate brown.

All you have to do is leave a comment and let me know what is one creative thing you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet? I’ll randomly draw a winner tomorrow (unfortunately this is for US people only…the funds aren’t strong enough for me to ship this overseas).

And lest you think the husband isn’t going to get anything for his birthday: he’s pining for a ping-pong table that we are hoping to score one day on craigslist. Until then, the chocolate cake will have to suffice!

  1. Beautiful embrodiery!!! One creative thing I want to accomplish is finishing a painting!!! ;)

  2. I want to be able to sew more then a straight line and follow a pattern. Crazy goal , Chap wants me to learn to hem pants.

If you pick me you can skip on postage all together, and bring it when you take your NC visit.

  3. This is lovely! Happy birthday (and happy ping pong hunting) to your husband!
One creative thing I have yet to accomplish is smocking. I have a new baby girl and have been transplanted to the North. I really want her to grow up with sweet Southern touches like smocking, but they are hard to find here. I have a pleater and some books, I just need time and determination! :)

  4. Looks great! I want to learn to applique- and thanks to your blog and some serious motivation, I think they girls will be sporting some Christmas happies…

  5. One thing I want to accomplish is to re-purpose the old crib I found at yard sale for 10 dollar. I’m gonna change it into a chalk desk for my daughter.
